AC also noted a benefit for airline status members. Upgrades will now be processed 15 minutes earlier, enabling pax to board with their zone. Customers may check in from 24 hours before their trip either online at aircanada.com or using the Air Canada mobile app. Those who prefer to check-in at the airport are reminded to arrive well in advance of the check-in deadlines.
BAGGAGE
Passengers can check in their bags as early as four hours before their flight’s departure, which helps reduce congestion at security and customs. Once the baggage counter closes, Air Canada can’t accept any more bags. For international flights, the cutoff for baggage drop-off is 60 minutes, however for domestic flights customers can drop off their bags up to 45 minutes before departure.
